About Brett

Brett Edwards is a human rights, social impact, and management consultant. A licensed attorney in the US, Brett has more than 15 years’ experience in the private, nonprofit and governmental sectors across domestic, international, and humanitarian contexts. Her areas of focus are strategy, people and project management, operations and financial oversight, business development, and policy/advocacy, particularly in the conflict and post-conflict context on issues of legal reform and accountability. Brett is focused on creating innovative solutions for social issues and adept at implementing, supporting, and leading a range of programs and partnerships. 

Brett’s recent work includes serving international non-profits on a range of international law, human rights, and public policy topics, including evaluating existing international programs, guidance on impactful opportunities for engagement, and strategic guidance for on-the-ground actors. Brett frequently drafts subject- matter expert reports as well as leads rapid-response initiatives to assess and respond to emerging developments. 

In addition, Brett provides guidance on risk management, operations best practices, compliance, supporting the development of institutional infrastructure, and assisting with development efforts.
